In July 12th, BC 100, Gaius Julius Caesar was born in Rome, Italy. He looked like not a good person in the play written by William Shakespeare. However, Julius Caesar was an important and great person in the history of the world. He was a general, statesman, and descended from a noble family. He served successive government service in various posts such as a financier and a law officer. He did his works well, and he established the foundation of a statesman. In BC 59, he took office as Consul. He conquered many lands, also he won in many wars. He didn't give up easily and he was brave. Also, he left a lot of famous saying. One of famous saying of Julius Caesar is "Veni, Vidi, Vici" ("I came, I saw, I conquered."). This famous saying showed that he was a great and brave conqueror. In 49 BC, Pompey was jealous of Julius Caesar, so he ordered that Caesar disband his army and come back to Rome. So, Caesar fought with the opposing party, and then he won. In BC 44, he became a dictator. In March 15th, BC 44, Julius Caesar was killed by Marcus Junius.
